Office Party for Less

This year many of us are cutting back or not spending at all.  Instead of cutting the office party completely out of your budget, there are many ways that can help you still have fun but just for less. Here is a list of some easy ideas that won't break the bank.

BYOC - Bring your own cookies.  Everything else always tastes better when someone else makes it!  You can even make a sign-up sheet so that you don't double on the selections.  It's a great way to show off those baking skills or your significant others.  And remember to bring the recipe, because someone will be asking.

- Secret Santas - Draw names, set a minimum $ amount and buy a gift for someone (choose a theme even) or to be shared during the week before the party.  At the party, reveal your names or even play a guessing game to find out who had yours.

- Ugly Sweaters - Everyone's definition of this is different but the Christmas tree with bells attached is really not meant to be worn in public.  Take pictures and vote on who truely has the most hideous sweater hidining in their closet.

- Make it personal - If you have a small group of people, maybe one person can have the party at their house.  This allows you bring your families and spend more time outside the workplace getting to know each other.
